Privacy setting in window 10 has amazing features. If you
properly set you privacy setting it will save you from annoying things like
ads.
Sometime ads are pop
up when you are playing games, or watching movies, using some other apps. So to
close them press “window + i” shortcut open the setting. Now go to privacy
where first you see general setting.
In general setting first option is “let apps use my
advertising ID for experiences across apps”. If you keep it on you have to
watch some irrelevant ads while using some apps like playing games. If you
don’t want to see the ads just off this option. This is one way to closing
annoying ads.
Next one is smart screen filter this is an amazing feature.
Whenever you go to window store apps you will see some relevant apps to use
that is because of this option. So keep this option on.
Next one is you might not know that you are setting
Microsoft some info about writing and typing to improve writing and typing in
future. If don’t want to send this info just turn it off.
Last one is letting website accessing your language list to
show you relevant content. You should keep it on.
After general setting there is location, some apps have to
get your location to work properly otherwise you would not get correct
information. So if you location is off click on the “change” and turn on the
location. Down below is option of the location history, some apps may need or
record location history to work properly so keep it on.
Down below is option of each app, you may turn off or on
location for specific app. For my I allow news and weather app to you location
to get relevant info.
Below location there is option of camera. In this you can
change the setting that which app should use the camera and which one cannot
use. You should allow some apps like Skype to use the camera.
Configuring Automatic Updates for Apps.
Mostly apps you are using in window 10 comes from the apps store
and they keep themselves updated. Definitely this updating process use your
resources and if you want the automatic updates close and want to do that
manually you can do that. For that click on the store tile in the startup
window.
Then on upper border you can see your picture click on that.
And then click on the setting.
From here you can turn off “update apps automatically”.
There is also option of live tile, many tiles like weather, news and store use
the live tiles that might use your resources. You can also tune them off from
here.
